The Sister Winds team has been steadily and continually (re)shaping this unique gathering over the past decade. Contributing to the movement – of the feminine forces, that live within, eagerly awaiting to be shared in these potent ways. Our loving crew has invested their time, efforts and energy to birth forth this magical collaboration.
We are excited to introduce the faces along with a little bit of their story, in hopes to connect deeper with each and every one of you who would like to know more – about us!

Shaela Noella 

Shaela Noella is the founder and visionary of Sister Winds. She had the dream of a Sister Winds Festival 9 years ago; to create a space that she would love to perform, and bridge sisterhood between other female performers. Little by little the festival has been growing grass roots style.  After putting on the festival for a many years by herself she is so HAPPY to have an awesome team and volunteers to make it happen. She surely wouldn’t do it without them!

Bethy Love Light

Our very own booking angel! Bethy Love Light works together with the Sister Winds Festival founder, Shaela Noella, as a Musical Booking Angel. She is also a Super Conscious Hip Hop Musician who creates and performs Anthems for Avatars. Her entire mission is to help awaken and inspire the Peaceful Warriors of this planet to continue creating a healthy, sustainable, evolutive world.  All her work is original and she is both the lyricist and the musician. Ethan Lanpher

Ethan has been part of the Sister Winds Festival since 2015. He utilizes his gifts in support of the mission of the gathering. His contributions include leading workshops, creating space for the men who attend the event, site management, and fire tending.

Sammi Benowitz

Sammi’s mission statement: “To be a catalyst for community evolution and personal transformation through our many outlets. We are our own teachers and we have the power to transform the world by awakening to our individual power. Our T R U E power is harnessed through creation.” This is why Sammi has chosen to work with Sister Winds! Acknowledging the sacred medicine in these altruistic gatherings, she is inspired to work within the realms of intentional community. Working with Living Village Culture (based out of Nevada City), she bridges the indigenous ways into the “transformational festival” world. She has previously worked at Envision Festival, LIB, Symbiosis, Okeechobee Music & Arts, as well as Oregon Eclipse Gathering.

Her passion for writing has led her to form a company known as, Weaving Writers, designed to support conscious businesses/ individuals that yearn to feel aligned and establish the proper content for their endeavors. Recently moving to Boulder town, she is excited to be involved in this sweet festival: encompassing all of her creative desires!

Rheanna Medina

Rheanna has been in the Boulder community since 2007, she received her B.A  in Environmental Science from CU, with it she has had the opportunity to work in the recycling industry and learn a great deal about the commodities market. In addition, during this time she co-created her burlesque troupe called The Jezzebelles. She aims to empower sex positive culture and create harmony among sisters through sensuality and dance. She is passionate about helping people create innovation that will aid the planet to grow into it’s most beautiful expression. Her goal for Sister Winds Festival is to coordinate the ‘Prayerformers’ in an organized fashion, in hopes of emphasizing the importance of movement and dance outlets to this unique experience we call life.
